Composer: Steven Grove

I have for many years insisted on working only with local composers, primarily because proximity allowed for a lot of interaction. I made an exception with Steven, mitigated by the fact that we had met and he had done a ton of great work in North Carolina before migrating to LA in search of fame and / or fortune.

Steven's music in this film provides a subdued emotional layer which complements the ehteral quality of the story.

Steven Grove is a composer of Film, Television, and Video Game music. He has provided music for feature films, documentaries, commercials, demo reels, various bands, and other productions. He has also toured nationally and internationally, playing guitar with Rock band Airiel Down.

From the earliest age music has been a fundamental part of Steven’s life. He first picked up the guitar and submerged himself in study, taking on private instruction and barely letting the instrument out of his sight. Soon following, he employed the same meticulous attention to Piano, Voice, and Music Composition.

With growing curiosity and influence from those around him, Steven was exposed to a wealth of music ranging from Rock icons like Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, and Pink Floyd to Orchestral masters like Gustav Mahler, Igor Stravinsky, and Richard Wagner. Being a lover of cinema, Steven became aware of the emotional impact music brought to film; upon hearing the works of Hans Zimmer, however, a new admiration for the world of film music emerged.
